I have a set of spare Special 20 (Standard Tunning) Harmonicas which I use for practicing or as a back up. Thinking of turning few into a Country Tuned or 7th Tunned Harmonicas - 5 & 9 Draw Raised by a Semi-Tone as follows.

Suzuki Manji C 7th Harp layout -

How do I go about it? I have never opened a Harmonica before. I can start with C harp as its easily available if I mess it up :D

What Tools do I need? I see few people online who had success with Engrave Pens.

Are there any Video Tutorials I can refer to?

As a rule ...

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick heads-up: when your reed sounds flat and your chromatic tuner shows readings as low as -50 cents (1 semi-tone or 1/2 step), it means the reed has fractured. It will eventually break off near the root (rivet end).

TIME TO REPLACE THE REED!

If you require help with this, let me know.
