I picked up an EV re 10 last week that looks to be in very good condition. In adapting from low to high Z I am at a loss though. I currently go wireless most of the time with a Kinder blue box in the mix just in front of going into a bassman. I use either a Turner or (and I really like it) the Electro-Vox set up with the little "pencil" mic and power pac. I also have the option of using my Harp KIng 6x10, but at my advanced age, find it more and more difficult to handle.
So, what would be the best way to still be able to go wireless (if possible) and use the Kinder blue box? Any use suggestions would also be appreciated - postion of actuator switch, handling techniques, etc.

Hi, Bob The RE10 is a low

Hi, Bob

The RE10 is a low impedance mic.

You have to think of the wireless receiver as being just like a microphone. That is in fact what it is replacing. Just connect the receiver to the Kinder box instead of your mic. Connect the transmitter to the mic and you're good to go - assuming your transmitter has an XLR connector - you didn't say. If your transmitter is the "guitar bug" type with a 1/4" plug, then it is expecting to be connected to high impedance device. You would need an impedance matching adapter to connect it to your RE10.

With wireless systems, the only device that cares about the impedance of the mic is the transmitter. What comes out of the receiver has no relationship to the mic's impedance. It will be high or low depending on what jacks the receiver has.
