Hi David... Hope you had a good weekend. Concerning the Wa Wa's in the 4th chorus of Quiet World: I cannot hold the 2 draw on a G harp strong enough to create the effect. My air runs out quickly. I replaced the note with a 3 blow and it sounds good. Any thoughts? Also, regarding tongue flutters. Is there a rule that says how fast your tongue should flutter? Should it flutter to the tempo of the song or does it just come down to what sounds good? Thanks...Fran

Answer

Hello Francis.

That's fine, just change to the 2 draw for beat 4 to play the 2 and following 2"... these notes are slurred and cannot be played as 3+ 2".

In regards to flutters... choose a speed that sounds good to you. Don't lock it to a specific rhythm... you want it to float, like the tremolo/vibrato. A slower flutter is smooth and relaxing (my favorite) and a fast one is intense and in your face. In the end it's up to you.

I look forward to hearing your work when you're done!
