I have never had so much respect for you playing and "instruction' as I have every time I work on Quiet World. When you said it would take 6 - 9 months, you weren't just whistling Dixie. This is one tough baby for this cowboy to get to the "submit for review" stage. When I listen to my recording of trying to play it at full speed I just don't get the clarity of articulation. At 85% it is better but still not where it should be.

All of this to ask: better to practice slower and make sure the articulation is bang on and gradually speed it up or work at a section of it at full speed and then once it's there, move on to another section. Sorry if this is obvious but I am hitting a frustration level with this one. Thanks.

Hope you are getting a chance to have a great Thanksgiving and some good turkey and you don't answer this until tomorrow. ;-)

Glad you like the song. 85% is a good speed for that song... it has a nice groove. Never worry about speed. Speed comes with time, and yes, always work at a slow tempo and then allow it to speed up as time/technique allows. Go ahead and hit that submit button!

I just ate some nice turkey moments ago... life is good... I hope the same for you!
