I'll ask this hoping nobody's had the nightmare but guessing they have.

i'd messed around trying to bend really ever since I picked up my first harp.  now that I've learned the right tecnique here and can bend the notes, I choke in actual song attempts and the tongue wants to revert to humping in the middle.

a bat habit learned over time.

my question: how long and how many bends before muscle memory replaces bad learned habit with good habit and I can get on to playing song?

David mentioned even

David mentioned even experienced musicians need to hone their bending skills all the time.

It is not like learning to ride bycicle - you will need to pratice it forever.
