Solo Harmonica Study 2, Example 1.5. on the IV bar with the Pull Notation. It is understanding that on the 4th eight note, (+5), I would completely tongue block all holes, continue to blow, pull the tongue off on the next eigth,(+5)? If correct I'm not hearing the pull as I do when listening to Dave's example.

Also while I'm asking; on Example 1.5 Dave's chording has this great "click" sound that I can't replicate? Thanks in advance.

Check out LOA4 "Gary's Blues"

Bob:

If you're interested in the pull technique, it will be discussed more in depth in LOA4. This technique gets heavily used on the study song "Gary's Blues". I know this first hand as I am currently working through this song. There is a specific section on how to do this technique in LOA4, so feel free to check it out. However you'll will get more exposure with it when you get to LOA4. It is a really cool technique when used in context.
