After moving on to a new study song how much time should I be spending on the previous study songs and exercises? Would a few repeats be enough?

Answer

It's a good idea to review your past study songs once a month at a minimum. You worked hard to learn them... it's always a bummer to learn a song and then not be able to play it three months down the road. Your study songs provide progressive technique, so review of past exercises tends not to be so much needed. If you find that some exercises are valuable to you, then keep them in your practice routine until they become too easy to spend your valuable time on.

Thank you. You said time is

Thank you.

You said time is the most valuable commodity in life in one of your videos. I can’t agree more. I was spending way too much time on things that I am already pretty good at. Like with anything else in life, you need to step out of the comfort zone to grow.

Yes! Your homework... read, or listen to the audio book, of "Moonwalking with Einstein"... it's a brilliant book and you'll know why I recommended it to you once you're done.
