Hi, Skip.

Can you direct me to a source for a power lamp bulb for my MA-17?

Also, are the resistor values for the speaker-driven line out circuit dependent on the amp output, or can one use, for example, a 220 ohm and a 2200 ohm 1/2 watt just as well for a 5 Watt as for a 30 watt tube amp?

I'm thinking about making a "line out box" that I can use with different amps, with the circuitry in the box, with a 1/4" plug to go to the amp and a 1/4" jack for the speaker cable to plug into (or maybe even having the cable for the speaker and the amp permanently connected to the box to avoid "accidents"), and a line out jack on the side.

Thanks.

Mark H.

Hello Marcos-  A potpourri of questions!

Masco amps use either a #40 (screw-in) or a #47 (push-and -twist type or "bayonet"). Bulbs aren't too tough to source.   Tubesandmore.com or bulbman.com will set you up!

Use the same line-out resistor values no matter how powerful the amp.  Good idea to make a little "direct box", but you may need to use alligator clips to connect directly to the speaker in some set-ups.
