Why is it that the position chart provided in LOA-L1 differs from information provided by others. The position chart provided in Level 1 indicates that a "C" harmonica played in second position is "F", but other info I've read says a "C" harp played in second position is "G". http://www.angelfire.com/tx/myquill/Positions.html

Typo?

I haven't looked to check but if the chart is as you say then it will be a typing error as a C harp played in 2nd pos is definitely key of G

This chart is correct

You read it the wrong way. If the band is in C and you want to play in second position, you have to use a F harp.

The chart is correct

The chart is correct, it's just my interpretation of the queens english that's incorrect. If you have a "C" harp, in second position it plays "G". But to play with a band in "C" and you want to play in second position then you need an "F" harp. So it's not really a position chart as such it's a band position chart. God I hope that makes sense :-). Thanks Eddy

My opinion

As for me, the best way is to memorize the circle of fifths.
