Hi David! I just moved to a new apartment and sadly, one of my neighbours doesn't like hear me playing much, haha! Specially on sundays. I tried to play softly and no complaing yet. Any suggestion for playing softly? I feel that I don't have the same control on bends and other techniques.

Embrace it Norlo28, it will

Embrace it Norlo28, it will make you a better player. Your tongue location for bending has to be more precise at lower volumes, so it will refine your playing and give you greater dynamic range when you can stretch out.

Mute

Norlo28:

Great advice from David. Also, there are some folks out there who sell mutes for harps. Or you might think about one of Rolly Platt's Harp Wahs (and just keep it as closed as you can).

While I have a Harp Wah and use it sometimes in public, when traveling and practicing in motel rooms I've usually just wrapped a washcloth or hand towel in my left hand and played into it. Does terrible things to one's tone, but no one has ever banged on my door and come in and smashed my harps.
