Hi,
I have been using a Vintage CONN ST-11 strobotuner. Its looks like it may need repair, so I was looking at new models. What is your opinion of the new Stroboflip from Peterson.

What is better to use for tuning harps, the old mechanical tuner or the new digital stuff?

When I asked Chris Michalek the same question he said the $100 software version for the computer worked very well.

Peterson Tuners

Hello Al,
I have found most of the Peterson tuners to be consistently top notch. I use the Peterson VS chromatic tuners for accuracy, durability and portability.

Many of our Harp-Tech workshop students found the "budget" type tuners to be extremely fussy regarding isolating their harmonica from ambient noise. Probably the most frustrating, is not being able to view a stable lock on the pitch. The digital needle tended to rock back and forth ...

Thanks Kinya,
I see what you mean about the lock on the pitch. I will check out the VS series.
