Ok guys, I mostly perform to my friends who come over for a beer or two.

I found that I lose skill with every glass, so I am thinking to practice it in advance.

What would you recommend - two shots of Jack Daniels, or perhaps double Vodka every day before practice? :-D

Water?

Maybe your post is tongue in cheek, but performing sober gives you the most control over your performance.

If you want to perform while drinking socially, accept that it will affect your performing abilities.

Go out into the pro performing comunity, and you'll find that a large proportion of veteran perfomers are clean and sober, having learned their lesson, often after having battled addiction.

That's with tongue in cheek, Winslow, don't take it too seriously! :)
