Good evening David,

Im looking for a new pedal to add to my amp. Do you have new recommendations since your videos? I see Boss has an RV-6 now with a Reverb+delay setting. Is this model still good for harp? If you are familiar with it does it cover both a delay and reverb?

Thanks,

Mark

Evening Mark. Reverb or delay

Evening Mark. Reverb or delay (and in the studio commonly a little bit of both) are the mainstay for harp players. I'm not familiar with that pedal, but if it says "+" then it has both. A reverb+delay setting can be nice, it's nice to have the option. Go to your local music store and try out some of their pedals. Experiment with these if they have them...

- Chorus (this makes the tone thin, but it's a neat effect)

- Octave (set it two play one or two octaves below what you're playing... it's a big sound. Listen to Billy Branch, he used this effect often live and on recordings)

- Distortion pedals tend to distort too much (feedback city), so you may not end up liking those. If you do use them, place them on their lowest setting possible.
