I don't happen to know, but Jason Ricci would know as he considers Pat to have been his mentor.

Jason himself plays pucker by default and tongue blocks when he needs to. But that's not to say that he got that from Pat.

"Pat was a total lip purser and didn't even know people could bend while tongue blocking until the KC spah. [the SPAH convention that was in Kansas City in, I think, 2005] Pat would of course tongue block octaves. "
