Can anyone help me figure out the opening riff to Billy Boy Arnolds song Rockin' it is? I just love that intro.  I have tried but my ears are not good enough yet to figure it out yet.

Cheers

opening lick

Song is in the key of G.. Grab your C Harp and the lick is

-2, -2", -1, -1',-1, -2, -2"

And thanks for bringing this song up as Ive never heard this before. Its actually fun and a good bending exercise too on holes 1 and 2 - all draw notes.

And Ill be using this lick for sure at my next jam session- when the singer gives the space !

Billy Boy Arnolds song Rockin' it

This is pretty much the same song as Arnold's "I Wish You Would."

The other cool lick goes:

2"  2  3'  - (three eighth notes followed by an eighth rest)

2' 2 3 4+ 3' 2 (two more-or-less triplets)

Add a little bent 4 with your bent 3s; and a 1 blow along with the your 4 blow and it's HEAVEN!
