Hey guys,

I was wondering perhaps anybody here has the new suzuki low tuned manjis? I'm asking because I basically wanna know if I can put the special coverplate that it has on other harmonicas. the metally-rattling sound occours also on a G harp, it would be awesome if you could just switch cover plates between em to avoid that sound.

Oh, and if we are on the subject, then what do you think, Thunderbird or Manji Low tuned? Thanks in advance,

kobi

I have a regular G Manji and

I have a regular G Manji and a Low C Manji.  They seem identical other than the higher clearance on the low end of the cover plates.  I'd have to check if you can swap out the cover plates, though.

I ordered a low C today so I guess i'll find out sooner or later :) if it's possible, I think it would be REALLY awesome, cause the G in my opinion needs the same cover plates as the low tuned harps

I have the low E and low Eb

I have the low E and low Eb Manji, they are great. Not sure about the cover plate swap, I guess it would depend on what harps you want to swap them to. I know Joe Spiers uses the conical cover plates on pretty much all his harps if I'm not mistaken.

    Does Joe spiers make it

Does Joe spiers make it by himself? I would like to order the cover plates alone to play like that as well, do you perhaps know if it's possible? I can't find on the internet no where to order just the cover plates by themselves of the conical form

You can buy the conical cover

You can buy the conical cover plates Joe uses directly from Hohner. I do not know if Joe does something else to them afterwards...probably!
