I may have made a mistake in 'upgrading' to GarageBand 10.02. Anyone else tried it?? Opinions? I have to go into the instructions now to see where they've hidden all my favorurite stuff.

Also - when I recorded on the 'old' version of GarageBand, I suddenly had a very serious latency problem. The harp track was almost a full beat behind the backing track. Where do I go to fix this? This was on an old version of GB 6.05. Do I have to go back and download my previous version??

Mild panic - I'm trying to record to complete my LOA 9 and now know I should have left the 'upgrade' until afterwards. Any help appreciated

"Existing sounds and loops will not be overwritten. Previous versions of GarageBand are placed in a sub-folder (named with the app version) in the Applications folder. For example, GarageBand 6.0.5 would placed in a folder of the same name. Both GarageBand for Mac (v10.0) and GarageBand 6.0.5 will be available under the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store if you want to reinstall."

Thanks

Thanks Paul - the more I dig, the more I find but man, having done stuff (relatively simple stuff) on 6.0.5, they sure seem to have hidden a ot of the effects. I kind of like the look of it though. I'll just keep digging and exploring. Once the pressure of my current project is off, its road trip to San Jose time and when I return, I'll get down to serious work on version 10.0

I had a long play with V10

I had a long play with V10 last night. I like it.

This review http://www.macworld.com/article/2060742/garageband-10-review-logic-light... is a good summary of the changes and differences.

I like the new drum track generator. Not as good as Jamstix http://www.rayzoon.com/ for live jamming, but does a great job for flexible composing.
