Hey there folks, (don't laugh) but what's the best/easiest harp to use for E>A>B 12 bar blues?  I'm not totally unfamiliar with the harp but mostly been in a folky, C>G>D kinda zone so far...

Positions!

Check out info re harp positions in David's lessons. For most blues in E, an A harp in 2nd position is the most common way to go. But E blues using 3rd position on a D harp can be nicely intuitive. In E major, you're generally talking about the E, A and B chords as the I, IV and V chords, or I7, IV7 and V7. Or their minor variations. Most folks think of 2nd position for major blues, 3rd position for minor. But each has a nice, usable, sound in either major or minor. If you're just starting out learning music theory, and how it applies to blues, never fear. David's theory lessons make it simple and logical, and before long how it all works on a harmonica will be as ingrained as knowing how to brush your teeth.
