Dear all,

as I have very little experience with tube amps I wanted to ask wether it is better to set the volume control and/or gain to zero when switching a tube powered amp on or off?

From my technical understanding I would say it doesn't matter as the tubes have no power when switching on. So no amplification should take place that could damage the amp. However, I am not sure and just wanted to ask.

Thank you very much for your opinions!

Kind regards,  Steffen

Fender blues deluxe reissue

, just bout one and the sound is BIG, but I can only turn my mic on barely or It's too loud and I can get FB, I am reading about tube changes, and wonder If I should go with three 12ay7 in place of the 12ax7's that are stock?

or what other configuration to use so I can get more control of the volume and tone can be a little bolder less bright.

I wouldn't be concerned with

I wouldn't be concerned with turning the amp down to zero when turning it on or visa versa.
