Hi David,

Reference exercise 2.5, regarding hole 2 half step bend, is this a flat 7 and on the same hole is the whole step bend the 7th degree. Regarding hole 9 half step blow bend is this a flat 7. I'm getting myself vey confused, please can you explain.

Many Thanks,

Paul

Hello Paul. The 2' is F#. F#

Hello Paul. The 2' is F#. F# is the 7th in the key of G (7). 2" is F, which is the flat-7th (b7). Since I was looking for the Mixolydian Scale in this case, then it would be a appropriate to us M7 (Major 7th) to indicate the 2' F# and just 7 for the 2" F. Both answers are fine with me.

9'+ is F#, which is the 7th (Major 7th, not flat-7th).
