When I started playing, a non-harp-playing musician friend told me "you gotta get a green bullet -that's what all the old school guys used." So I did. It took me many more years to learn that there were actually five generations of elements in that mic - and the older they got, the better they sounded. I've learned a lot as I really began to focus on amplified harp gear AND the personal technique required to get great tone. 

I've encapsulated that in my free PDF All About Harmonica Microphones, and Then Some....!- you might want to download and read it. There's a lot of useful information in there!
