Hello,

I got my new Megatone ME-18 in Belgium last week.
It was very well packaged and it sounds very nice.
So, if you live in Europe, don't worry about ordering an amp from DJL Vintage Audio.
Thanks David for the advice. Thanks Dale for the good job.

Happy holidays!

Lets Stay in Touch on This

Hey Eddy - mine is on its way and I'm really looking forward to it. Lets stay in touch and share any info that will help in getting 'that sound'. Enjoy the amp and have Merry Christmas - now that Santa came early for you.

It Arrived!!

The amp arrived today and just as you described - well packaged with great instructions for setting up initially. What an incredible sound just waiting to be 'tamed'. I'm playing around with different mics and settings but what a full spectrum of sound. Super early Christmas present!!

Your ME-18's !

Hiya guys I'm Ian from the UK and new to the forum. Saw your posts from last year and I'm wondering how you're getting on with your amp cos I'm going to get one but still undecided whether to get the smaller 1x10 or the larger 2x10. I was curious to know which one you guys bought..cheers and looking forward to possibly hearing from you.

Welcome

Hi Ian,

I have the 2x10 and I am very satisfied with it. I recorded my cover of Easy with it. You can hear it in the share section of this site.

All the best,

Eddy

Megatone ME 18

Hi Eddy great to hear from you and I'm glad you are really satisfied with your 2x10. I'll listen to Easy in the share section. I was concerned that if I got the 1x10 it might not be loud enough in the Folk and Blues band I play in, but that the 2x10 would be heavy to lug around..Still undecided but will think some more about which will be the best to get..anyway, again, thanks for the welcome Eddy cheers Ian

Megatone ME-18

Hiya Eddy,
Really sorry but can't seem to access your 'Easy' on my computer, so I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. Also I have ordered a 1 x10 ME-18 which I think will be great for what I need. Thanks for your comment about your amp as well as its reassuring to know that owners of Megatone amps are really happy with their purchase!
Cheers ian

Good Choice

Hi Ian - sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I got the 12" + 10" model and absolutely love it. Tone plus that is everything I hoped for and plenty loud enough. Downside is the weight, which I hate to admit, is as much a comment on my age as the amp (if not more). Mike (Wezo) comments that the new single 10" is as loud and has the tone we love, I put a lot of faith in what he says. If it had been available when I got mine, I probably would have looked seriously at it for the weight factor alone.

All that being said, you will love the amp!! Great people to deal with (Dale and Mike) and an outstanding product. Enjoy it, let us know when you get it and try it out. Like Eddy, I look forward to hearing some clips of the MegTone sound!!

My ME-18 Megatone

Hi Eddy
I've been busy and not really got around to getting the setup to record stuff onto this site yet! Hope to soon though cos it'll be good to get some feedback on my progress.Cheers Ian

Hi Hank no worries about getting back sooner about your 12 + 10 Megatone amp, and I'm really glad that you love it. From all the videos etc I've heard on the internet etc they sound great... I've listened to MIke W in those bars playing and I thought the 1 x 10 sounded plenty loud enough with a lovely tone and thought ' that's the one for me'.!! It's only 33 pounds compared to 48 so I appreciate that you might have made a different choice if the smaller one had been available. I'll let you know when it arrives and keep you posted on how I'm getting on with it. I agree that Dale is so good to deal with and I've spoken to him on the phone and he is as excited about making mine as I am buying it!
Anyway, good to hear from you, cheers Ian
