Hi again

I just received one marine band deluxe for the first time.I loved the modifications. But first of all the rounded edges and the sealer on the comb.I will try to modify my marine bands with a small jewelery file and sandpaper to round the edges (i have a lot of combs from broken harps). But i want to ask you what is the type of sealer?or something that i can use similar??

Thanks

George

Hi George, good to hear from you.

I've been a long time fan of the Varathane Satin Finish products. Linked here at Home Depot:

Regarding rounding off the sharp tines (edges) of the vintage pearwood comb, I have some wonderful strategies that require a small drill press, or Dremel router. If you have access to these electric tools, let me know and I will respond with "how to" photos.

Your Harpsmith, Kinya
