Hi Dave. I just banged out Creeping the Blues study song under the accompainment section of LOA3 thinking this was a test song. Apparently i dont follow directions well. But i did enjoy learning a new song.  Was i supposed to use this song to record playingthe exercise of  verse one on hole one, verse 2 on hole 2 etc. or was there another track I am to use.

Answer

Hello John. I'm glad you enjoyed the study song, it's a good one! That study song shows how chord tones (based on the triad) are used under vocals... Gary Smith's vocals in case. The LOA assignment is to use the Hole Changes concept (Ex. 2.3) with a jam track of your choosing ("I Want You With Me" is a good one). By studying Ex. 2.3 you'll be able to someday improvise your own accompaniment behind a vocalist or instrumentalist.
