Hi David,

Loving the start of the LOA course, although I'm struggling with the tongue blocking method. Having gotten so used to the puckering method in folk music it kinda feels like back to square 1 but I plan to stick with it!

My question is about the practice structure in LOA 1 - I have gotten as far as the first chorus of 'Walk with me" having gone as far as 'Moving around the harmonica" before skipping to the song as you advised in the next video. I have watched your 'what to practice' video whiere you recommend splitting practise sessions into 3 sections (i'm doing an hour a day). However, am I right in thinking the 3rd part of the practice (chorus forms etc.) applies to later in the course? If so, should I just focus on 10 minutes of technique and spend the remainder of the hour practicing 'walk with me'?

Sorry for babbling! Basically my question is what would be the best use of my hour at the stage I'm at?

Cheers

Ian

Yes, stick with it, having

Yes, stick with it, having the ability to do both gives you great options.

Great question, and yes, this doesn't apply to you right now. Fill it in with Solo Harmonica Study.

Best wishes on your continued studies.

Thanks man, I'll try that.

Thanks man, I'll try that. Just didn't want to skip ahead to other parts of the study in case it affected my progress :)
