Hello David,

I am loving your site and videos. So I am practicing with the LOA 1 material and had a question in tongue blocking-

What side should my tongue be on while playing Hole #1? How about Hole #2? Is there a switch with those two or should I always stay on the same side? I tried taking a class years ago that may have learned more toward puckering on Hole #1 and #10 so I am stumbling there.

Thanks for your thoughts,

C

Welcome to the site Celia,

Welcome to the site Celia, and I'm glad you're enjoying your studies. Take a look at the video for Chorus 2 of the study song "Walk with Me" in Tongue Block Study 1 (http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/tongue_blocking_1)... I define that there. To quickly answer your question, yes, your tongue stays to the left for holes 2 and above and to the right for hole 1. Best wishes on your studies.
