TB 2: Section 2 - Study Song “Temperature

2:48 - 6th Chorus (ABC Chorus Form)

The opening note F, which is very quick and short, but was marked as a staccato.

Would it be right to actually play it as a staccato  ( play "if" instead of "ah" )

ie  "if sol sol , la if sol sol , la if sol sol..."  instead of "la sol sol, la ah sol sol, la ah sol sol ".

I am new to blues harmonica, so i am not sure if by playing this way it will make it " less bluesy".

thank you for responding.

This is the best site i have visited. It is a TREASURE.

I am sure i have come to the right place.

Welcome to the site Chris KK,

Welcome to the site Chris KK, I'm glad you're enjoying your studies. Those are not staccato marks, they are marks to indicate the use of the slap. In the case of that first line I'm not using any articulation, just the slap. I look forward to listening your version of Temperature when you're ready to record.
