I prepare my first recording setup for "Walk with me". I try to copy same sound quality from your original But someting is missing. I dont know why. I whould like to record with my new bullet mic shure 520 inside garage band. It is possible your recording is acoustic with another kind of microphone with some effect (reverb, delay)?

thank you

Hello Mr Bourgeois. For my recording I played into a vocal mic (acoustic) and then added a little bit of reverb after the recording.

Hello Mr Bourgeois. In

Hello Mr Bourgeois. In recording, the goal is to get your input source (the sound coming in from your microphone or line-level device) to be as close to 0 as possible. If your input level is very low while recording (way below 0), then when turing up the volume in your recording software after the fact, you'll be amplifying your recorded part, as well as the line noise. Above 0 you're in the red and distortion can occur. A safe recording level, and output level (when saving) is -.6... basically as close as 0 as you can get without going over.

You'll get your best tone

You'll get your best tone when having your bullet mic volume control on max (10). This is all the time... for recording and live performance.
