Hey dear people!

I made this topic up, to get in an exchange to hear from your individual learning schedules.

Like: How many times do you learn? How you are using this website? Are you just into the LOA progam or maybe you mix all lessons up?

I think it is really interessting to see how different people are into the instrument and which ways they use to learn it.

I start:

When I was starting to learn on this website, I practicing maximum 4 hours a day. And I started with the LOA program and added the supportiv lessons. That was the reason why I was goining so fast through this program. Backthen I needed 3 - 4 month for a complete LOA level. Which gave me the thought of being to fast and that I missed something or I am not learning good enough.

Now, I take my time, because of my job I don't have 4 hours to practice anymore. I'm going through the LOA level step by step and lesson by lesson.

So, that's from me. I would be happy to hear your storys.

Greetings.

One of my stories

Rouven:

I try to get in about two hours each day. In all aspects of my life I've for a long time tried to adhere to the "do less, but do it better" admonition. There is so much wonderful information here on the site that the temptation to try to do it all is pretty strong. So ... each week I make a short list of what I'd like to work on that week. Usually at least one chromatic and one diatonic number. And then I'll further pare down the list by noting maybe just one or two choruses of each number, and do that only, at different tempos; sometimes with backing track and sometimes not; sometimes playing along with David's performance; sometimes just taking one or two measures. And often watching intonation on my tuner or the HarpNinja app. In limiting myself to that, I try to understand and play each nuance, i.e., each technique. And every time I practice I spend at least a few minutes just drawing and blowing single notes and working on tone and vibrato.

... and then David will post a new study song or transcription in the New Lessons column ... AND ALL BETS ARE OFF!
