Hi David,

Just a few days ago I bought ''BLUES HARP MS''  Hohner harmonica.

My question is what the key of this harmonica and will I have some issue to learn to play by this model or I would to buy another one like ''Crossover'' as beginner .

Hello VadimG, welcome to the

Hello VadimG, welcome to the site. If you look at the top coverplate of the harmonica (where you see the numbers 1-10), the key will be stamped on the right-hand side. If it's a C Harmonica, there is an intro lesson for those with only the C, and it's found here http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/c_harmonica_intro_lesson. After this lesson, if you decide to continue, you'll need to pick up an A Harmonica (this C Harmonica study will keep you busy for 2-3 months, so there's no hurry). Best wishes on your studies.

Key marking on Blues Harp MS

Actually, on the Hohner Blues Harp MS the key might not be stamped on the cover plate. It could be imprinted on the right-hand end of the comb. That's the situation on the two Blues Harps I own (C and D). Nice harps, by the way, VadimG.

Intro Lesson

Hello David.

I have compared your school with a couple of others and what I like you are giving much more attention for breathing, lips and mouth position. I understand how it is important for great sound. What you think  if I try to learn material quite slowly and how it can be reflected further.
