George Harmonica Smith's "Blues in the Dark" (currently available on the Harmonica Ace CD) is the "Juke" of the chromatic world. After you've completed Studies 1 through 4 on bluesharmonica.com you'll have the technique to give it a try! This CD is available at http://www.bluebeatmusic.com/product_info.php?products_id=9004

Do you have a transcript available for this?

I recommend you try to learn this on your own... after you've studied through Study 4. Learning songs by ear, or even better, trying to transcribe them (you don't have to use music notation, hole numbers and such are just fine to start) is an important skill as a player advances. So, do it yourself first, then email or mail me a copy, then I'll send what I came up with.

3rd position chromatic and diatonic

Will do! Sounds like a good project. By the way, is 3rd position on the diatonic a close or exact match for blues in 3rd position on the chromatic? It feels very similar.

George Harmonica Smith

Oh you'll have no trouble learning "Blues in the Dark" after doing these lessons for sure.

I say this because I'm currently trying to pin myself down and learn "Blues Chromatic Study 2". Every time I play along with David I almost get most of it about right. When I play it on my own though I keep wandering off into other George Smith licks. Which is good of course, but I am determined to get "Cool Blue" right!

I'm loving this lesson. It has really inspired me to play more blues chromatic again.
