Jam Tracks to practice Solo Harmonica Study 1 & 2

Hello David,
Could you please suggest Jam tracks to practice Solo Harmonica Study 1 & 2 with, either from your lessons here on the website or a list of songs which are good to practice with?

Answer

I do not recommend playing with jam tracks for this. I do recommend you use a metronome. These are not meant to go to jam tracks, this is Solo Harmonica, or unaccompanied harmonica, so the skill set you're trying to develop is that of staying in time... being responsible for your rhythm and the 12 bar form (study 2). It's a good challenge, but that's why you're here.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to experiment with that (Solo Study 2)... just use any jam track of similar feel (shuffle with shuffle, straight beat with straight beat). You just don't want to use it in the learning process. Have fun with it... this fun stuff to play.
