Hello, all. Recently I changed the gain, tone and amp settings on my Micro Cube and now everything sounds the same. Regardless of whether I crank the tone or the gain all the way down or all the way up and regardless of what amp model I choose, all my recordings sound exactly the same, not bad, just without any change or effects. Turn off, then turn on and still no changes at all. Weird.

Does anyone have suggestions on this?

Looks like it just broke

Left it unplugged overnight to drain whatever residual charge it might have and then tried again. Nothing. All settings sound exactly the same. I've gone back to recording off my Yeti as there's no sense in using the hand mic and amp at this point.

I did find this, however: https://metrodcmusic.com/blogs/guitar-kit-builder-repair-bench/repair-be...

Doesn't bode well.

No warranty?

I would contact the seller and/or Roland's customer support. Didn't you buy this not so long ago? Maybe the warranty still covers it or they might help you figure out what the issue could be?

Roland

Ace: Sorry to hear about your issues with the Micro Cube. I've had a Cube 30 for about 20 years that I've used for various instruments in various situations, and it has seemed bomb-proof and a veritable Swiss Army Knife for a lot of applications. While Japan-based, Roland has a large corporate presence in the US. I agree that it wouldn't hurt to contact them (and give them a piece of your mind).

Weird turn of events

UkuleleRob65, This has had a weird turn of events. I unplugged my microphone to play in my Pignose and afterward plugged it back in to the Micro Cube. I guess the removal and insertion caused a circuitboard to reseat itself and so now the amp works just fine.

Weird.
