I'd like to be able to transcribe sheet music on my iPad. Can anybody recommend an app for this? Thanks

I use Musescore for Mac.

I use Musescore for Mac. There is an associated app for iOS. You should check it out, but I think it just let's you read and playback scores.

For what it's worth, I create lots of scores on Musescore (mostly horn charts) and wouldn't consider trying it on an iPad. Maybe it would be OK for very simple scores.
