If the amp fairy appeared at the foot of your bed tonight, and said she would give you the vintage amp you most desired - which one would it be?

In layman's terms, if you could resurrect any vintage amp from the past, the one you considered the "greatest harp amp" of all time - what would it be?

Just curious to explore the mind of David Barrett...

Answer

My mind's a scary place, you don't want to root around there too much! ;-)

I've owned many amps and have pretty much played every amp ever known to be good for harp. I'm going to give you an answer you probably didn't want to hear... each amp is different and each player's perspective is different... so there is no perfect amp. I can have any amp I want, from any era, of any price (I do this for a living and I don't mid spending the $ on a great amp), and I chose the MegaTone Wezo ME-18, so that's my answer. For an amp that's totally different, an original 59 Fender Bassman (not a new one made like the old one, I want the amp that's 54 years old, they sound better).

Well, at least you have Zen philosophy to keep in it line. I'm just stuck with the voices in my head, and from what I can tell, they're a bunch of jerks.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!
