How will neck surgery affect playing harmonica?

I think the Gods are trying to keep me from playing harmonica.
My doctor informed me I am going to have to have surgery on my neck where they fuse some of the vertebrae together. I’m concerned as to how this might affect playing the harmonica. Since I’m not very experienced I don’t know what to expect.
Have any of you all had this type of surgery and did it affect your playing?

I haven't had neck surgery but my neck vertebre are fused through arthritis. It doesn't hurt my playing except that I do shakes by moving the harmonica instead of my neck.
