I am not trying to be impatient, but how long should I reasonably expect to take to be at a point where I can join a band and begin gigging. i am on level one of level of achievements.

If you're on level one...

If you're on level one -- you can jam. In fact, you should jam as often as possible.

Gigging I would think is a bit down the road. Remember, people are paying for that.

You'll know while you're jamming when is the time you want to move to a paying gig. It'll just feel like it's time.

Answer two questions

Can yourespond to your musical surroundings and the playeres you're playing with in a collaborative way?

Can you contribute to the musical performance in a waythat enhanced the delivery o the music?

When you can answer yes to both those questions, you'll be ready to perform for audiences.
