hohner hoodoo amp

hi skip, i own a hoodoo amp and play thru a red howler,not sure how to get the best tone ...amp has a gain,tone(scooped,bright,dark) ,volume and reverb.any suggestion on a starting point,thanks john turi

Hello John- Thanks for writing, but I haven't tried one of those. I CAN tell you that with any amp, it's all about experimentation and practice. Experiment by turning each knob and seeing what effect it has on your tone. I would also suggest that a mike with a volume control is a plus. Amplified harp is tricky, so be prepared to spend some time learning how to get a good tone from your amp.
