Hi

I am about to have my first attempt at tuning a harmonica. The 2 draw of my A Crossover harmonica is playing flat by between 20 to 30 cents according to my Korg Chromatic Harmonica.

My question is,  how sharp or flat (in cents) is the factory tuning for this harmonica.

Thanks

Hohner crossover tuning

Hi again

I have just noticed that when testing the tuning my tuner was set on 442Hz. When I changed it to 440Hz the harmonica appeared to be less flat. Which is the correct Hz setting when testing?

Thanks

On balance, 442hz is a good

On balance, 442hz is a good setting for your tuner.

BTW, for Richter tuned harmonicas, the 3 blow and 2 draw should be no more than a 1 cent deviation.
