I have been teaching myself to play Little Bitty Pretty One/Rockin Robin from the Rod Piazza CD I have as I really love playing it & thought it was coming along ok-I know (or i think I know) hes playing a D harp on the recording I have & this weekend i went to a jam & tried to play it however when the band played in G it sounded really wrong. Can anyone help and let me know what key it should be in if it isnt this or if there is anything else i should be telling a band so they know how to play along with me as I'd really like to give it another go,thanks, Pat

PS Can I please qualify this-I was actually playing a C harp at the jam as i found it easier to play & I've got some issues with my D harp at the moment so thats why they were playing in G.

Great song Pat. Though Rod plays bluesy in this song, it is not a blues... more specifically it's not a 12 Bar Blues, which makes it difficult to play with a blues band. If the band has heard, studied and practiced the song, then it can be played. So, unfortunately, though a great song, it's not a jam-safe song. :-(

Hi David-thanks for your reply-thats such a shame because I was just bursting to play it with someone but I am listening & have learnt my lesson. The other one i have been learning that I love to play apart from all your songs was Cut You loose off the Filisko & Noden live CD-now thats 12 bar blues!! & I'll stick to that in future-thanks again.Pat
