Going to take a first time visit to Hawaii (week in Kona and then a week on Kauai) during February. Anyone here live there or know of any blues places there. I'm looking forward to Slack Key guitar music but thought I'd check just in case. Thanks

I've never been there (yet), but

there is a harp player named Mark Prados (also repairs harps) who has a blues band and lives/plays in Honolulu. I'm sure he would love to fill you in on all of the island blues info...you can find him on Facebook and message him.

I'm looking forward to meeting you in California in April...

Thanks Marcos

Thanks Marcos - I'll drop him a message. In doing a search on the Modern Blues Harmonica forum, it looks like my chances on the Big Island or Kauai are pretty slim but you never know.

Looking forward to meeting you and any others from this place that will be in San Jose in APril. SHould be a blast!!

You might want to email J.P.

You might want to email J.P. Allen.  I believe he is in Kauai.  He might be able to point you in a direction there Hank.

Enjoy your trip.  Being in this godforsaken part of Canada (NW Ontario) I'm only a little jealous.

Cheers!

J.D.

Thanks

Thanks JD. Is he a member here? How would I get his contact info?

You have my total sympathy with what Mother Nature has thrown at you this winter. Take care and thanks

Thanks again

FOund JP's web site and have emailed him. Potentially a great contact so many thanks to you J.D. Good for one beer if you are going to the MAsterclass weekend in San Jose!!

I was born in Sudbury and grew up in Toronto (still have sisters there) so I know why my 'adventure' is worthy of jealousy!!

Hoping to go to San Jose

Great Hank.

I'm hoping to get down to San Jose for the Masterclass.  Need to shuffle the schedule but I am going to try and get there for it.

Cheers.

J.D.
