hello Kinya,
In the referred study, you first explained how to set the reed gap followed by the gap near the rivet end and then how to check and correct how the reed enters the slot...... I was wondering... If I were to try reed gapping should the sequence be as follows?
1. Set the Clearance at the Rivet End
2. Set the reed gap
3. Adjust How Reeds Enter the Slot

Is that how I should go about it?

Regards,

Good question

The one thing I'd add to your list order in a "overall tuning senario" is if you wanted to emboss the slots, should that before your #1? And then after your listed order, tuning?

By the way Kinyard, Great Lessons I've learned allot.

Thanks!

Reed Gapping procedure

Hello Everyone,
If you wish to size (emboss) the reed plate slots, then yes, that would be step #1, step #2 will be setting the "Zero Point" (rivet end gapping) ...

Steps #2 and #3 are symbiotic--they work hand and hand with each other.

Kinya
