Harp blaster mic with bassman

Hi Dave,
I have just acquired a 59 bassman reissue, 95 model so early reissue and not a Ltd.
I will swap the tubes as per bassman chronicles.
My question:
Is the hohner harp blaster HB52 an appropriate mic for the bassman?
I bought an hb52 but had to return it as it was faulty. Before I accept a replacement I thought it best to ask you.

It turned out to be the mic. After asking you about the cable I had one made up but the mic shows no response with a multimeter it seems to have a short somewhere so I sent it back. Just waiting for the replacement.

Hello Saul. I think the HB52 will sound good. If it's not distorted enough for you, I would get a mic with a classic Shure CR or Cm (if you go that rout, email me and I'll send you contact info of sellers). P.S., was it the mic, or did you have the wrong cable?
