Dave when you get to holes 8 & 9, if your right thumb is covering holes 8,9,and 10, as you suggest they should in your hand position video, do you just release your thumb briefly to get at these high notes

You got it... the thumb

You got it... the thumb slides to the right with your cheek. The thumb leaves the face of the harmonica, but keeps contact with the face.
