David,

How do I know when I've got a study song down well enough that it is worth submitting?  Do I need to be able to execute it perfectly before learning more advanced techniques, or do I just need to be able to play it "good enough"? I've been at it for about a month.

Thanks,

Alex

Hello Alex. Not perfection,

Hello Alex. Not perfection, but the best you can with your current skills. If you listen back to your recording and you hear some areas you need to fix, give yourself some time to work on those areas. Recording, reviewing, and fixing areas you hear that need work is the best practice process you can use. So, the recording and process is more for your self-discovery... by the time I get it, I'm usually patting you on the back and giving you small edits to take your playing to the next level.
