Hi Skip,

I'm looking for a new replacement speaker for my MU5 that's similar to the Fender Tweed Champ I think.  Can you reccomend a good speaker for harmonica to buy?  My amp repair guy here seems to think the Jensen MOD8-20 would be a good choice but you have more experience setting up amps for harp player.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Taylor

8" speaker replacements

Hello Taylor-

The Jensen Mod is a decent buy for the money, but I prefer the Weber Signature Alnico.  They are less than $40.  Also great are the RI Jensen P-8R and C-8R.  I have heard good things about the Jupiter 8" speaker, but I have no personal experience with them.

Great! Thanks for the advice.

Great! Thanks for the advice.  I looked the Weber Signature Alnico up but there is an 8 and and 8S.  What does that mean and which of the two do I need?
