Generally Im okay on bends but today I see that Im not getting the 2 ' " (Ab) and the 3 ' " (B) on the Eb harp.  I am a half step off on the 2 draw and a full step on the 3 draw.

I think Im getting my tongue arched and I can get these notes on a C and other harps.

Any guidance?  Too much of too little air?

Gary

Hello Gary. Bending doesn't

Hello Gary. Bending doesn't have anything to do with air, it has to do with tuning your mouth (resonant cavity) to the pitch that you're trying to create on the harmonica (the bend). Focus on using more of the front of your tongue, further forward in your mouth. Even though you're already bending, I recommend you review Bending Study 1 (https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/bending_study_level_1) for the areas of the tongue used while bending... it's good to review that material, for many years, there's a lot of insight that helps all skill level players.
