Hi David!!

i have a question about the great George Harmonica Smith!
i'm dig in transcribing , Boogie'n With George ,
he use side pulls? in draw and blow?
i hear clear slaps... slap-pulls ... pulls..
but there are sounds i think it's side-pulls?

Answer

He most definitely used slaps, pulls, pull-slaps, fake octaves, octaves, two note combinations, etc. In regards to side-pulls, all tongue blockers use them time to time... where?... impossible to say without REALY listening VERY carefully and it's not really worth the effort. If the note's not slapped or pull-slapped then it could use a "Ha", throat articulation like that used for a tremolo, "Ka", or side-pull... all options and all correct.
