Answer

Yes... but I'm not super tight, slightly relaxed. If I cup, fully muted, it's too muted (I'm good at it ;-).

shake

David,
I see now that you are playing temperature amped.
There are sound behiond me, by istance on the shake it seems to me that I hear some overtones (kind of distorsion),... I may be wrong
I was trying to recreate it playing acustically including bit of other holes to make it sound more dirty, but with not succes.
Is that distortion caused by the amp and I am wasting my time?

Answer

Correct, the distortion is caused by the amp. Playing acoustically it will be cleaner (which is fine, both are nice options). By the way, in the video I play acoustic (not amplified), so use that as a reference (I do this on purpose).

Gotta try..

... I'm heading right now to a music store to try how I'll sound amped, and check how wrong I'm practicing

David I'm just amazed about you, the monthly fee is nothing considering the amount of work you put in the site, the feedback for the song submission... just the monthly newsletter with the song transcription is worth the whole fee you charge, and you answer lightling fast to any silly question newby like me can bother you with,
Thank you
