I am deeply saddened at the news of Fritz' passing in August. I purchased a JT-30 shell with a Shure CM 99A86 from him and I love the mic. I e-mailed him 2 days ago to ask him about a volume control issue I am having and when he didn't respond I call his cell and spoke to his son. What a huge loss! He was a terrific guy with a tongue -n - cheek outlook on life. And he was a very talented musician and singer. RIP Fritz.
PS David who do you recommend to do a possible repair on my mic?
